Dr. Jordan Matthew
Dr. Jordan Matthew grew up in Hannibal, Missouri. After dealing with a sports injury in middle school, she decided she wanted to pursue a career in health care. In the spring of 2013, her brother was in a car accident. He had fractured 2 lumbar vertebrae and ruptured his spleen. At that time he was a freshman in college and was their top pole vaulter on the track and field team. He was told that he might not be able to pole vault again, but after being treated by the teamâââ‰â¢s chiropractor, he recovered, and later went on to break the school indoor record. This made a large impact on her wanting to become a chiropractor.
Following high school Dr. Matthew attended William Woods University, where she pursued her interests in sports injuries and fitness, receiving her Bachelor of Science degrees in Athletic Training and Exercise Science. She then attended Columbia College for a year to finish her prerequisites for grad school.
Dr. Matthew continued her education at Logan University in Chesterfield, MO and graduated with a Master of Science in Sports Science and Rehabilitation degree and a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. During her last 4 months at Logan, Dr. Matthew interned at a chiropractic clinic In Fallon, MO and at a physical therapy clinic in Fenton, MO. Following graduation from Logan, Dr. Matthew decided to move to the Sunshine State to start her career in Tampa, FL.
When Dr. Matthew is not at the office seeing patients, she loves to enjoy the nice sunny weather Florida has to offer by running, relaxing on a beach, and taking her dog, Lily, on walks with her husband.
